Correspondent & Coordinator Definitions

 A correspondent is a data reporter from a member country who is nominated or approved by his/her respective country coordinator to submit data electronically via the Integrated Collection System. 

 A country coordinator is a person designated by each IMF member country as being responsible for overseeing its data reporting to the IMF Statistics Department for International Financial Statistics (IFS), Balance of Payments Statistics Yearbook, Direction of Trade Statistics, Government Finance Statistics Yearbook, or Monetary Statistics. A country coordinator is also responsible for metadata certification, appropriate metadata updates, and advance release calendars.
